For the Monkey Bread:

  • 2 cans 16.3 oz each refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Cherry Filling:

  • 1 can 21 oz cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar optional

Optional Toppings:

  • Whipped cream
  • Vanilla ice cream

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan or deep baking dish.
  • Prepare the dough:
  • Cut each biscuit into quarters.
  • In a bowl, mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  • Dip biscuit pieces in melted butter, then coat with sugar mixture.
  • Assemble the bread:
  • Layer coated dough pieces in the pan.
  • Drop spoonfuls of softened cream cheese (mixed with powdered sugar if desired) and cherry pie filling between layers.
  • Repeat until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of dough.
  • Bake for 35-45 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Tent with foil if top browns too quickly.
  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then carefully invert onto a serving dish.
  • Serve warm, optionally topped with extra cherry filling, whipped cream, or ice cream.
