For the Chicken:
- 1 lb 450 g chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 large eggs beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying
For the Bang Bang Sauce:
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp sriracha adjust for spice preference
- 1 tbsp honey
- Optional: 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Optional Garnish:
- Green onions chopped
- Sesame seeds
Prepare the Chicken:
Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and pat dry with a paper towel.
Set up a dredging station with cornstarch, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs in separate bowls.
Cook the Chicken:
Frying Method: Heat oil in a skillet and fry chicken in batches until golden and crispy, about 3–4 minutes per side.
Baking Method: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C), place breaded chicken on a baking tray, and bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway.
Air Frying Method: Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway through.
Make the Sauce:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Adjust the spice level by reducing or increasing the sriracha.
- For gluten-free, use gluten-free panko and cornstarch.
