Ingredients
  

For the Chicken:

  • 1 lb 450 g chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha adjust for spice preference
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Optional: 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Optional Garnish:

  • Green onions chopped
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chicken:

  • Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Set up a dredging station with cornstarch, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs in separate bowls.

Coat the Chicken:

  • Dip each chicken piece in cornstarch, then egg, and finally panko, ensuring an even coating.

Cook the Chicken:

  • Frying Method: Heat oil in a skillet and fry chicken in batches until golden and crispy, about 3–4 minutes per side.
  • Baking Method: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C), place breaded chicken on a baking tray, and bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Air Frying Method: Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway through.

Make the Sauce:

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and garlic powder until smooth.

Assemble the Dish:

  • Toss the cooked chicken pieces in the sauce or serve the sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by reducing or increasing the sriracha.
  • For gluten-free, use gluten-free panko and cornstarch.
