Ingredients
  

  • 4 lbs Beef Back Ribs Look for ribs with a good meat-to-bone ratio
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce Homemade or store-bought
  • 3 tbsp Dry Rub see below Pre-mixed seasoning blend
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil Helps seasoning adhere to ribs
  • To taste Salt and Pepper For initial seasoning
  • Dry Rub Recipe
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper optional for heat

Instructions
 

Prepare the Ribs:

  • Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs, rinse, and pat dry.
  • Season: Brush ribs with olive oil and apply dry rub generously on all sides.

Cook:

    For Oven:

    • Preheat to 300°F (150°C), wrap ribs in foil, bake for 2.5–3 hours, and broil with BBQ sauce.

    For Grill:

    • Cook over indirect heat at 275°F (135°C) for 3–4 hours, basting with BBQ sauce in the last 30 minutes.

    For Slow Cooker:

    • Cook on low for 6–8 hours, then finish under the broiler with BBQ sauce.

    Rest and Serve:

    • Let ribs rest for 10–15 minutes before serving.

    • Let the dry rub marinate overnight for deeper flavor.
    • Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 190–205°F for fall-off-the-bone tenderness.
