Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 3 ½ cups flour
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup water

Method
 

  1. Mix wet ingredients with starter
  2. Add flour and salt
  3. Knead until smooth
  4. Let rise until doubled
  5. Shape and place in loaf pan
  6. Proof again
  7. Bake at 375°F for 30–35 minutes
  8. Cool before slicing

  • Use active starter for best results
  • Adjust water depending on flour type
