Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Chicken Thighs or Breasts
  • 1 cup Long Grain White Rice
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 Yellow Onion diced
  • 2 Garlic Cloves minced
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Fresh Parsley chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Chicken:
  • Season the chicken with salt and a dash of turmeric. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat, then cook the chicken until golden brown on both sides. Remove from pan and set aside.
  • Sauté Aromatics:
  • In the same pan, add diced onion and garlic, cooking until soft and fragrant.
  • Add Rice and Turmeric:
  • Stir in the rice and turmeric, coating the rice with the mixture and toasting lightly.
  • Simmer with Broth:
  • Pour in chicken broth and add the chicken back to the pan. Cover and let simmer for 20 minutes, until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
  • Serve:
  • Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust Seasoning: Feel free to add salt and pepper to taste before serving.
  • Vegetable Variations: Add peas or bell peppers for extra flavor and color.
