PUNJABI CHOLE RECIPE BY PRIYANKA SAINI
Hi friends welcome to Priyanka’s Kitchen
Today we are going to make Punjabi Chole
These are the ingredients we require:-
3 Onion Big size (Chopped)
For Masala we need Garlic 5-6, Ginger 1 Inches, 1 tsp Cumin Seed & 1/2 Onion Sliced
Add Small Piece of Cinnamon Stick, 8-10 Black Pepper Pods & 2-3 Cloves
Take 3 tbsp Mustard Oil, I use it because it’s very healthy but you can use any other cooking oil
Heat Mustard Oil in a pan until it’s smoking hot
Oil is heat up add half of the chopped Onions and Bay Leaf
Add remaining Chopped Onion
Cook until Onions turns Golden Brown
Once Onions turns Golden Brown add 1/4 Cup Water to soft Onions
Now we’ll add dry spices
1 tbsp Coriander Powder, 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
Red Chili Powder as per the taste and 1 tsp Garam Masala
You can use either Chole Masala or Garam Masala
Let it cook for sometime
Grind all these ingredients
Add the grind masala in the pan
Cook it for another 10 minutes until its Golden Brown
Add salt as per the taste
We’ve boiled Chickpeas in a pressure cooker, along with Black Cardamom & Bay Leaf
Now we’ll transfer this masala in the pressure cooker
Mix it well
Close the pressure cooker and cook it for 2 whistles
As you can see Chole is ready
Add Coriander Leaves
Here we’ve our Punjabi Chole ready
