Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf rye bread thickly sliced
  • 1 ½ lbs corned beef thinly sliced
  • 1 lb Swiss cheese sliced
  • 2 cups sauerkraut drained
  • ½ cup Thousand Island dressing
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Oven: Set to 375°F (190°C).
  • Base Layer: Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Lay half the rye bread slices at the bottom.

Layer Ingredients:

  • Mix Thousand Island dressing with Dijon mustard.
  • Spread over bread.
  • Layer half the corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese.
  • Repeat Layers: Add another bread layer, followed by corned beef, sauerkraut, and cheese.
  • Top Layer: Finish with a cheese layer, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle caraway seeds.
  • Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Serve: Let rest 5-10 minutes before slicing.
